 Zombie Holocaust
As yet another piece of Italian exploitation trash, Zombie Holocaust is barely distinguishable from other Italian classicks such as Fulci's Zombie>, Lenzi's Cannibal Ferox or D'amato's Emanuelle and the Last Cannibals . Its only discerning factor is that there's cannibals AND zombies in this one.
When parts of corpses start to disappear from a New York morgue, it
is discovered that there is some kind of cannibal cult active in the
city. Anthropologist Alexandra Delli Coll... Continue reading ...

I'm aware Anchor Bay released a BD edition awhile back as part of
inaugural Blu-ray roll-out. The problem was wanton use of digital noise
reduction, color tinkering, excessive scratch correction, and contrast
boosting with their Blu-ray and Divimax DVD releases. The good news is
after all this time Arrow Films in the United Kingdom have debuted a
Blu-ray this week that fixes these issues by leaving the film alone. Not
only does this release have an improved transfer, but a lossless PCM ... Continue reading ...
Some quick thoughts on Night of the Creeps (1986) on Blu-ray

We all have them. Those horror movies from our youth that we only have
the vaguest of memories of. They may not even be all that good, but
we'll be damned if we can remember their titles or any other elements
helpful in identification. Fred Dekker's Night of the Creeps
was probably the one I fought most to nail down in my head. It was the

recall. The Monster Squad seemed like it was on television every other weeken... Continue reading ...

First off, what a friggin' great looking DVD cover all

September 2007, VCI was about to re-release Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things as a special edition DVD. I'm unsure if the disc actually officially met its release date ( some sites received screeners),
but VCI issued a complete recall citing an error in a cut version with
wonky colors being... Continue reading ...
